Pandurska-Dramikjanin, Frosina
Frosina Pandurska-Dramikjanin was born in the Macedonian capital, Skopje, where she went to University and graduated in Albanian language and literature. She began her career in a Macedonian news agency in 2006. Two years ago she moved to work as a reporter for Alsat-M Television. As a young journalist she covers social themes focusing on ecology and global warming. Frosina has been awarded three prizes for her TV stories on the issues of poverty and multi-ethnic communities: two first prizes in 2008 in a competition organised by the European Union in Skopje, and in a United Nations contest on the theme of poverty, and one third prize this year, in the same UN contest. Frosina focuses her work on the human angle whether it’s about climate change or any other issue within a community.
What is your plan for covering COP15?
"If I have the opportunity to attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference, I would like to write reports about the international efforts that are undertaken to address climate change. What can the world do about global warming? I'll try to find answers about what an individual can do so that our children have a plentiful supply of safe drinking water. I'll try to set up interviews with politicians from countries most affected by the devastating effects of climate change."
Why do you cover climate change issues?
"I cover climate change because in my country there is not enough public awareness or institutional knowledge on this global issue."
